While Others Are Coasting, You Can Gain your EDGE
The weeks between the holidays are magical - a time to reflect, recharge, and connect with loved ones. But while most people are coasting into the New Year, there's an opportunity for you to do something different, something transformative.
You really don't need to grind through the holidays - it's about strategic, creative planning that helps you build momentum and enjoy the season. We are all about working smarter and living better here so you can live your best at work and at home.
Why Plan Now?
1.) The Quiet Creates Space: While the world slows down, you have a rare chance to think deeply without distractions. This is the perfect time to gain clarity about what you want from 2025.
2.) Momentum Beats New Year Pressure: Most people wait until January to get started, only to feel overwhelmed by the rush. By planning now, you'll enter 2025 with focus and a clear strategy - no scrambling required.
3.) The "Dark Work" Sets You Apart: While others are coasting, you can be laying the foundation for standout results. This behind-the-scenes effort - what Anthony Trucks calls the "dark work" (love him!) - it is where true leaders are made. It's the work done behind the scenes to make you stand out at what you do.
Why This Matters
By carving out time now, you're settling yourself up for a year of clarity, focus, and impact. You're not waiting for motivation to strike on January 1 - you're creating the roadmap that makes action inevitable.
This isn't just about planning - it's about freedom:
đFreedom from overwhelm in the new year.
đFreedom to enjoy the holidays, knowing you're set up for success.
đFreedom to lead with purpose, not react to chaos.
My mantra is Freedom, Fun and flow into 2025, let's do that together! SO... While others coast, you have the chance to create. Do the "dark work" now, and you'll be ahead of the game - not just in January but for the entire year ahead.
Let's build your best year together.

Post-Thanksgiving Wellness! Reset, Recharge & Refocus
The Thanksgiving holiday often brings a whirlwind of activities: family gatherings, indulgent meals, and plenty of time spent celebrating the season. However, once the leftovers are put away and the festivities come to a close, you may find yourself feeling a bit sluggish or overwhelmed. The good news is that there are simple ways to reset your body and mind, allowing you to step into the holiday season with renewed energy and focus.
1. Hydrate First, and Hydrate Often
Itâs easy to overlook hydration during Thanksgiving when thereâs a bounty of food and festive drinks, but staying hydrated is one of the most important things you can do for your body. After a long day of rich foods and perhaps a little extra alcohol, water can help flush out toxins, reduce bloating, and refresh your system. Start your morning with a glass of water to rehydrate after a nightâs rest, and aim to drink at least 8 cups of water throughout the day. You might also add a pinch of sea salt or a splash of lemon to boost hydration and restore electrolytes.
2. Rebalance Your Diet with Fresh, Whole Foods
After days of indulging in heavy dishes, itâs time to return to whole, nourishing foods. Incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins into your meals, and aim for meals that are light yet satisfying. Think colorful salads, hearty soups, and grain bowls packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals. These foods will help cleanse your body, improve digestion, and provide lasting energy. Reducing your intake of processed foods and refined sugars can also help combat that sluggish, post-holiday fatigue.
3. Move Your Body, Even if Itâs Just a Little
It can be tempting to stay on the couch and nap after a busy holiday, but physical activity is essential for both mental and physical wellness. Exercise boosts circulation, enhances mood, and promotes better digestion, making it the perfect antidote to the Thanksgiving food coma. Even a gentle walk around your neighborhood can help get your blood flowing and clear your mind. If youâre feeling ambitious, try a yoga session or a low-impact workout to stretch and strengthen your muscles. Just 20-30 minutes a day can make a world of difference in how you feel.
4. Prioritize Sleep for Recovery
Between holiday travel, late-night celebrations, and the usual holiday hustle and bustle, your sleep schedule might have taken a hit. Proper sleep is crucial for resetting your body and mind after Thanksgiving festivities. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night, and create a relaxing bedtime routine to help you unwind. This could include reading a book, sipping on caffeine-free tea, or practicing mindfulness meditation to clear your mind before hitting the pillow. Good sleep not only supports immune function but also boosts energy, improves mood, and enhances your ability to focus.
5. Practice Mindfulness to Reduce Stress
The holiday season can be filled with joy, but it can also bring its share of stress and overwhelm. Post-Thanksgiving is a great time to take a deep breath, center yourself, and refocus on what matters most. Consider incorporating daily mindfulness practices such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or gratitude journaling to help reduce anxiety and stress. Just a few minutes of quiet reflection each day can help you regain a sense of calm and perspective as you enter December
6. Set Realistic Goals for the Month Ahead
The final month of the year often comes with a sense of urgency, whether itâs wrapping up work projects, holiday shopping, or personal goals. After Thanksgiving, itâs a great time to take a step back and evaluate your priorities for the coming weeks. Set achievable goals for the month ahead, whether itâs taking time for self-care, staying active, or spending quality time with loved ones. By being intentional with your time and energy, youâll feel more in control and less stressed.
7. Be Kind to Yourself
Itâs easy to feel guilty after a holiday of indulgence, but itâs important to show yourself kindness and compassion. Thanksgiving is about enjoying the company of those you love, and food is part of that experience. Avoid the temptation to beat yourself up. Remember that wellness is about balance. Focus on making small, positive changes that nurture your body and mind in the days to come.
